A highly aesthetic and totally unique cluster of ammonites (Asteroceras confusum and Promicroceras planicosta) with a Holcoptera geibeli wing case and additional unidentified insect wing. Found by David Sole in a 'woodstone' nodule at Charmouth, Dorset and prepared by Chris Reedman.
Age: Lower Jurassic, approximately 195 million years old.
Location: Charmouth, Dorset, UK.
Size of block: Approximately 24 cm x 18 cm at its largest points.
