An attractive Asteroceras obtusum from Charmouth, Dorset. This particular specimen exhibits highly unusual calcite preservation that presents as abstract swirls and patterns on the surface. A unique example of this highly desirable ammonite. 

Age: Lower Jurassic, approximately 195 million years old.
