Palaeocoma egertoni - Eype, Dorset

A fine pair of brittlestars (Palaeocoma egertoni) from Eype, Dorset. Beautifully presented on a piece of worked stone. Fossils from this classic locality are becoming ever more difficult to source. 

Age: Lower Jurassic, approximately 185 million years old.

Location: Eype, Dorset, UK.

Size of brittlestars: Approximately 7 cm and 2.5 cm.

Size of block: Approximately 26 cm x 21 cm.
