Pavlovia sp. - Kimmeridge, Dorset

An extremely rare Pavlovia sp. ammonite from Kimmeridge, Dorset. This is a quality, calcite specimen with remnants of the original aragonitic shell preserved as a white veneer. 

Age: Upper Jurassic, approximately 155 million years old.

Location: Kimmeridge, Dorset, UK.

Size of ammonite: 60 mm.

Size of block: Approximately 11 cm x 9 cm at largest points.
